Family picture drama

Well, December is here and I am slightly behind in my Christmas card mail out... Ok - I haven't really even started yet. This is going to be the week.

As I began sifting over the activities and photos from the past year, I realized we somehow neglected to take any pictures of our family that would actually merit inclusion on this year's card.

So I was faced with the daunting task of getting a fabulous family photo in time for a mailout this week! Those of you with kids may understand the enormity of this job. With two small children on the scene, it is almost an impossible feat to get a shot with all family members looking in the right general direction, smiling, sitting still and showing off their best sides.

Many retries are the order of the day, and the process inevitably includes some comedic moments and usually ends with at least one person in tears (and not necessarily a kid!).
