Inspired by my friends again who use the template from the simplewomansdaybook... here are some random thoughts for today:
Outside my window - It's getting dark. The days are quickly getting shorter and cooler. Feels like a good time to snuggle up with a blanket on the couch.
I am thankful - for family, friends and my amazing kids. Maybe it sounds repetitive, but I truly want to count my blessings. Today was a good day. The boys played well with minimal fighting and we had a wonderful trip to the park this afternoon. Getting out in the sunshine is always a reason to be thankful.
I am praying - always for patience, grace and compassion - and time management to get everything done!
I am celebrating - Getting ready to celebrate with some visits from family, thanksgiving and then birthdays for my baby boy and Rob. Just gearing up for the big celebration season coming our way!
From the kitchen - I made a double batch of peach jam today... yummy! Leftovers for supper though.
I am reading - Three Day Road by Joseph Boyden. It's my book club's first selection for the fall and I'm enjoying it so far.
I am hoping - the sunny warm weather we had today will continue for the next couple of weeks so I can get outside with the boys and enjoy the fall leaves.
I am hearing - quiet. My boys are sleeping and Rob is on his way home from work. I can faintly hear some Raffi floating out of the boys' room. It's the blissful time of day.
I am creating - Mostly writing for work - but I'm gearing up for a couple of new knitting projects and am starting to look forward to them.
Around the house - Just trying to keep up with the housework. Still hoping to finish a couple of projects on the go but enjoying some downtime after the busy yard jobs we recently finished.
One of my favourite things - Quiet evenings at home.
A few plans for the rest of the week - Looking forward to a run tomorrow and a great dinner visit with a friend. Planning on projects and a picnic in the woods over the weekend.
